Cluster Fly Pest Control St Albans

EPC Pest Control Services

We specialise in Cluster Fly Pest Control in St Albans, with over 30 years of experience in the industry we can quickly identify the problem and recommend the best treatment to remove the infestation and deter cluster flies from returning in the future.

Cluster flies do not present a health hazard but when adults emerge in late Summer and Autumn they can appear in large numbers in roofs, wall cavities or cladding and windows looking to hibernate.

These flies are a nuisance and not something commercial customers want customers to experience. Large numbers of dead cluster flies can lead to infestations of other pests so it is a good idea to remove any infestations before they lead to bigger problems.

Facts About Cluster Flies

Cluster Fly Pest Control St Albans

Cluster flies are 6 - 7mm long with a wing span of around 10mm, relatively large for a fly with large reddish compound eyes and yellow hairs covering their thorax and irregular light and dark grey areas on the abdomen.

They breed throughout the summer, sometimes using earthworms to support their larvae by laying eggs into the soil where the larvae seek out worms to complete their larvae life cycle. Adult flies feed on nectar from flowers. Depending on the weather 2-4 generations are possible each year.

They enter buildings once temperatures start to fall via small gaps or building fabric defects favouring south-west and south facing structures.

Problems caused by Cluster Flies

Cluster flies will come in very large groups, up to thousands which can be very off putting for potential customers in a commercial setting and a nuisance in domestic properties.

With such large numbers, when they die they can then attract other unwanted pests coming to feed on them.

Best pest control. Always there to re assure and utmost professionalism.

Used EPC for the first time when they came to deal with mice at 2am and since then I would not use anyone else. Clearly know what they are doing unlike many other companies in this field. Highly recommended.

We had a mouse issue which we were trying to deal with using shop brought products..

The mice just kept eating it, we still had mice for a while until we called EPC, they carried out a treatment and blocked off all areas, great service, no more mice, I would highly recommend to my family and friends

Jessie

Wow is all I can say, we had Bed Bugs in our property for months, we had a couple of well known companies in to deal with the issue, which they could not do..

They used just chemicals, after talking to EPC about a heat treatment and the treatment involved we went to the extra expense of trying it, at last we can sleep Bed Bug free, it is a bit expensive, but well worth the money when you see what they do, thanks again guys.
